Coiling up to join him will be BONZAI BONNER, a singular talent from Glasgow, who is the driving force behind Shoot Your Shot — the iconic LGBTQ+ party that has propelled leftfield dance music in Scotland. Fresh off appearances at Berghain’s Panorama Bar, Fabric London, Sisyphos Berlin, Yamamori Tengu, Electrowerkz, Sub Club, and many more, Bonner will make his Asia debut with a sleek and venomous intrigue inspired by punk, EBM, and synth-pop.
Finally, our own JUSTFIN will gently sink his fangs in to inject his signature warm grooves into the night. Fresh off a breakout year scaling up his label Just Fish Wax, and an acclaimed release on the top Thai minimal label More Rice, Fin’s set is sure to be properly serpentine, playful, and enveloping.
Victor Simonelli is a DJ and record producer synonymous with the cutting edge of dance music from its very birth. As one of the early pioneers of house music, Victor has long been considered one of New York’s finest exponents of the genre. As a pioneer of the New York underground dance music movement, he is long associated with the cultural phenomenon. Victor Simonelli is religiously followed by clubbing fans and his peers worldwide. One look at his production discography reads like a who’s who of the music industry. As a DJ, music producer, song writer and record label owner his multi-faceted talents know no limits.
Bonzai Bonner, perhaps more colloquially heralded and cheered for as ‘Bonner’ when hammering out Hi-Nrg and Italo in the clubs of Glasgow, has become one of the city’s most influential DJ’s and caretakers. Their approach and work behind the scenes has helped to inspire a new generation of community driven artists, creatives and parties having sought every opportunity to rally for an open minded dance floor and to encourage self expression. Bonner is the pioneering force behind the infamous LGBTQ+ party Shoot Your Shot – a party which has helped champion leftfield dance and electronic music in Glasgow. The parties are joyous, captivating affairs which always leave revellers with a story or two to tell.
It was in 2018 when Fin first thought about mixing music. Always a lover of eclectic sounds, it was living in Shanghai when he first experienced the draw of a record store – yet still, despite being a regular on the dancefloor, electronic music, specifically, was not on his mind. This initial interaction, deep dives into Jazz and Hip Hop, trying to see if they work together, this laid the foundation for Fin’s blended electronic affair. Soon after moving to Cambodia and launching Egg Baguette, a techno orientated night in Siem Reap, the move to Phnom Penh was made.
